Yeah, I was about to say that Indigo is really the only viable option at the moment. I don't know how their LCC model would work in the alliance and lack of lounge network. I know a lot of people in India love to hate them but in my limited experience so far, I think they're quite fine. And the 'stretch' seat upgrade on some A321 routes is actually a really good value (for example the other day was SG$125 for SIN-BOM). It's on limited international routes at the moment, but seems they are eager to grow it.

It's also a shame that OW is leaving sub-saharan Africa blank for so long, QR was supposed to bring in WB, which is a very decent carrier, but haven't seen any movement on that in a few years now.

India is at least very well covered by QR, WY, UL, MH, and CX, but of course no internal flights. But internal flights on both 6E and AI are cheap, that can't be said for Africa.
