In my membership rewards options annual guide there is a card with the following information:

Front of the card says:
Earn double points and receive 10,000 membership rewards bonus points when you upgrade to the american express rewards plus gold card. The annual fee for the rewards plus gold card is $150.

Then on the back of the card it says:
Wtih the american express rewards plus gold card yuo can: Earn double points every day at stand-alone supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, the U.S. Postal Service and when paying wireless phone bills. Earn double points with our Membership Rewards travel partners in your first year of membership, and 1.5 points thereafter. Add as many as five fee-free Additional Cards to your account.

Is this worth it?

I am already receiving double points for the every day stuff mentioned.
