Yes you can....even on an HBO fare. Just go to any check-in desk and they will take it from you and check it into the hold free-of-charge. The only stipulation is it must meet the hand-baggage size and weight regulations. I've done it for years as my travel is rarely time sensitive on either leg and I CBA to carry a wheely bag around an airport or fight for overhead locker space
yes I’m not in a rush either and it’s an early morning so I just don’t feel like dealing with it in the airport or the plane. I’ll try and check it in though it sounds like from another reply that it might not be possible on a HBO fare.
