I think the other part is that Saks started off as genuinely useful, for people not near a store, and it was easy to get soaps, lotions, chocolates, discounted clothing, to make the credit seem worthwhile, but the benefit has degraded over time. There are less products available and the minimum needed for free shippiing is higher.
I was able to get a couple of decent polo shirts this quarter from 2 Platinum cards.
I hope, as time progresses, that the product offerings and prices at Lululemon continue to make the credit valuable.
