I can't answer if you'll get the same error or not, but you should be able to use the Easy-Chicken machine 24 hours before. I've had no problems using this for a next day flight on a number of occasions that I've happened to be at the airport the day before. The only difference I've noticed is it sometimes needs more info to find tommorow's flight, such as confirmation number or date of flight.
