I did a gift card via a local Resy restaurant (online, with Toast) on the 18th. The charge shows a "TST * restaurant name" on the statement, and the category shows as restaurant, but still no credit and the meter hasn't moved. I had a Lululemon charge the next day and the meter did move for that one. I have no clue how the behind the scenes processing of these works but it concerns me that a later LLL charge got the credit and the earlier Resy one didn't. Maybe I just need to keep waiting. I eat at Resy restaurants all the time so normally I would not be worried at all about getting the credit, but since we have less than a week in the quarter to use it up, I do want to make sure it worked.
I mean, I have no DPs, but can say the plat credits in general can vary widely. I’ve seen airline credits go in a couple of days, or take a week+ (and seen charges that shouldn’t qualify, like <$50 ticket charges with balance paid via certificate credit when they shouldn’t), I’ve seen Walmart+ credits go in a day, or occasionally take a couple of weeks. Ditto with offers. So I’ve, timing can widely vary.
