I have the Daiso stool without the small back support and if I recall, the sticker is more than 100 yen. Might have been 300/500 when I bought it? I know it isn't for standing on but the top flexes a bit under my standing weight of ~ 45kg. Sitting is ok. Purchased it a few years ago at a Daiso in USA. I don't think it is as thick as what I've seen in the non-100 yen home goods stores.
If OP is in HNL, it might be worth checking out Donki, Daiso, and other Japanese markets which carry home goods. I'd consider a more durable set which also has some small improvements to make it easier to clean/de-scale since it won't be as simple to replace if shipping/bringing it back from Japan or shipping from lower 48. But if you can pop into a well stocked (USA) Daiso easily enough (keep in mind 100 yen item = $2.25 + sales tax right now at USA Daiso) then you can also check out what is in Japan & take luggage space into consideration.
