There are 767 Lululemon stores -- most people can find one near them. Saks has 40 something and has been closing them. There are zero in the Bay Area (which has a population of 7.5 million). So much easier to get into a LLL than a Saks to purchase a gift card.

Saks shipping isn't free until you hit $300. And they've been shrinking what they sell. Hard to find stuff so it's been training people to buy gift cards if possible to take advantage of the credit at a future date. Now those trained customers are hitting up LLL. With so little time to shop for this quarter's credit it would be easier for some to get a GC -- it will be interesting to see if this reduces in future quarters.

If GC sales are stopped then people will buy something and return it for store credit.
