When I was stuck in Paris earlier this year due to irrops they gave us a voucher to the Grand Magic Hotel, and arranged a transfer as well.
I did ask if I can book a different hotel at the airport instead and they said yes, I didn't end up doing it but in hindsight I should have given that it wasn't "20 minutes away with shuttle every 15 minutes" like the lady at the counter said... took well over 1.5 hours since I left the counter and until I was in my room at the middle of the night.
