Which airlines are now banning power banks altogether? China’s new rules (CCC certification mark, no recalled products) as listed in the other thread are the most onerous I’ve seen to date, every other rule has been that there allowed in hand baggage, but not for use on the plane nor for storage in the overhead.
Emirates and others to follow, from what I have read. Which others? I have no clue but they may be waiting on Emirates feedback on how to enforce it. I'll come back and provide my experience in case nobody else does. I fly them again in two months. Just had a flight with them a couple of weeks ago before the ban starts. I was planning on purchasing a new power bank but I cancelled it.
And if there's no markings to indicate how much power they hold and not 100 watts or less they can't be on the plane period.

You cannot use a power bank to charge any personal devices, nor can you charge the power bank itself, on board.
- Carry-on Only:
Power banks must be packed in your cabin baggage, not your checked luggage.
- Capacity Limit:
You are allowed to carry a maximum of one power bank with a capacity of under 100 Watt-hours (Wh).
- Visible Rating:
The capacity rating must be clearly visible on the power bank.
- Secure Stowage:
On the aircraft, the power bank must be placed in the seat pocket or under the seat in front of you, not in the overhead locker.
