Starting this weekend, CDMX Will be flooded with a mixture of anniversary protests. There will be the October 2nd Tlatelolco Massacre March and Protest starting in Tlatelolco (just north of centro) and going through the city ending in the Zocalo. This march starts in several locations throughout the country because it's a march against the Mexican government for killing their citizens, back on 1968 right before the summer Olympics took place in the city.

Another huge march and demonstration will be held on September 26th, the anniversary for the 43 students that disappeared that day in 2014.

These marches draw other groups to march for their causes too, like women's rights and people around the country being kidnapped in general. Many turn violent and property destroyed.

Steel barricades will be erected around the city to protect buildings and monuments. Again, Hilton Reforma hotel is always a target, so be careful if you're staying there.
