OP, I hope the trip is going well! If you are looking to retain BA Gold status via spend, booking via BA Holidays might be a better option in future as you get points for your full spend (split between the persons on the booking). This could be as simple as flights plus one night in a hotel (there is a dedicated FT thread on this!)
