I've never been to this part of Vancouver Island but I thought the common wisdom was to fly into YCD (Nanaimo) instead of YYJ and save yourself a few hours of driving?
I do have a couple of places in Tofino and Ucluelet saved but cannot personally vouch for any of them:

To get to that part of the island, it would save a bit of time but not sure how well Naniamo is served compared to Victoria. There is also the Kingfisher Resort on that eastern side of the island. Never been but have heard good things.
