Post Kanha National Park

I had the chance to visit Kanha Tiger Reserve recently, and it was one of the most memorable wildlife experiences I’ve had in India. The park’s landscape is stunning – vast meadows, thick sal forests, and that feeling of silence when the jungle slows down before a tiger sighting.

We were lucky to spot barasinghas (hard-ground swamp deer) in the meadows, and later on a tiger crossing near Kanha meadow. What stood out to me was how well-managed the safari system is – the guides and naturalists know the park inside out, and they really help you understand the patterns of the animals.

For anyone planning, I’d recommend booking safaris well in advance (permits sell out quickly). Early morning safaris are chilly but worth it for higher chances of big cat sightings. Luxury stays like Singinawa or Taj Banjaar Tola also make the whole trip more comfortable if you’re combining safari with a relaxed holiday.
