interestingly, each was part of an itinerary that involved my only flight on a relatively unique turboprop … the first was a Texas International Convair 640 (IAH-SHV-GGG-DFW, with a Braniff 72S up to MCI); the second was an Air Illinois HS.748 CGX-CAP-ENL-MDH
I also logged two on Delta, Dec 1972 MIA-ATL and Mar 1973 BOS-BAL, and each was in conjunction with my first flight on a different type (DL/PA 747 ATL-IAD, and Air New England DC3 LGA-EWB-HYA followed by a bus to BOS)
Sounds like some mighty fun flying! Although I had a pretty good run of flights in the 70s - including aboard the inaugural Concorde domestic flight operated by Braniff IAD-DFW - my highlights were those flights I got to fly First Class in aboard 747s with Qantas, Pan Am, Air France and United. But anytime I got to fly upon a new airline was always a thrill!
It was In the eighties that I started logging "exotics" - mainly in terms of airlines, but occasionally aircraft. My favorite was in 1984 combining an Amtrak rail pass with flights aboard
