I'm pointing out that the Oura "credit" appears to not be truly a credit nor usable as such, it is simply a discount on one particular product. The fact that they will only allow the "credit" to be used on certain things and in a certain way proves this. And the way they're doing it is shady, blocking payment rather than simply not issuing the credit. Perhaps Oura and AMEX don't quite agree on this point....
there are many DPs of early buyers getting the v3 ring with amex plat. i have seen several unboxing posts. hence, what likely happened is oura realised their folly after these people got the v3 rings for “free”, and they had to come up something last minute to stop that
