Evidentially the website says you cannot have more than 1 passenger. Seems bizarre, but is what it is.
Sadly I saw that too late - I already checked in and even though AA was able to separate the PNR, they cannot un-check you in to start the process again.
Might be time to hire some DL IT guys (never thought I'd say that)
