Can i get more information on how your claim against Ajet was successful?they breach their own Rules in favor of avoiding any possible refund (even refuse to refund taxes). Our company's recent experience with them is a good example. A colleague’s trip got cancelled less than 24 hours after the ticket was purchased (at full price). According to AJet regulations, this qualifies for a refund. We had called them without any delay (expensively, because AJet does not have any European telephone number, so the only option is to call Turkey), and their operator said that at least Taxes will be refunded (instead of refunding the full amount). He instructed to fill out the Feedback Form – which we had done promptly. …Four reminders later (by way of additional Feedback Forms and also emails), there was still no refund of any sort. Instead, we received a misguided/deceitful email response simply repeating that the cancellation had to be made within 24 hours of the purchase – which is actually exactly what we’d done (as phone records and the Feedback Form easily prove, if AJet would’ve bothered to verify).
It can be clearly concluded with very high probability that AJet Customer Service reps do not even bother to read the correspondence or to analyse the actual records/evidence. It appears that their internal corporate instructions are to reject any such request for refund (no matter the circumstances). This is, of course, unacceptable, as it constitutes fraud by EU standards, even if considered normal in Turkey. We cannot work with an airline like that (better to overpay a bit for tickets and to receive fair treatment). …The upside is that we’ll avoid the craziness of Istanbul airports (always very crowded).
