What I don't quite get about questions - and now threads - like this one is ...

What if I rave about say... the sausage lasagna, but you don't particularly care for sausage. Or lasagna?

Or maybe I think Alaska's breakfast quiche is too small, but for those who prefer a lighter breakfast, it's just right?

My point is - I get the sense that most people reading Flyertalk's Alaska forum - regardless of thread subject - are at least 30 years old. From the time they were 10 years old and began to develop their own personal tastes on foods and flavors they liked or didn't like, they've since eaten at least 20 years worth of meals and have a lot of experience with what they like or don't like.

I'm the guy who originated the What Will Alaska Be Serving in First Class on Your Flight thread about twelve or thirteen years ago, and it was my hope that people would limit their posts to a picture of the meal and a brief, objective description of the meal. Pffft! Yeah, right. Good luck with that!

Perhaps speaking only for myself, a simple picture of the meal to be served along with a brief description will more than suffice to inform me - based upon my established culinary preferences over the past 20-40 years - whether I'm likely to enjoy any given meal.
