I am a bit concerned that it says purchases processed by the restaurant with a mobile or wireless card reader might not qualify. Most restaurants are moving to this type of payment.
pretty sure it includes tax and tip
the wording about mobile or wireless card reader is a pretty standardised one. you also see it with csr exclusive tables and amex resy. it is just something they use to cover themselves; it is less about the reader being mobile or wireless, but more of 3rd party POS services like chowbus or toastbox, which provides these readers. if merchants use these 3rd party POS serices, it can obcure the merchant name/id, whcih chase might then refuse to payout
the
wording from amex is clearer
the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit the transaction to American Express (e.g. using mobile or wireless card readers)
