Was LAS-DFW on AY flight number? And was the reason for diversion technical? Not weather etc.
To my surprise, and thanks to the advice I got here, I was eligible and did get compensation for SFO-DFW-HEL where everything was under AY flight numbers but SFO-DFW was op. by AA. This flight returned to SFO and I was rerouted SFO-LAX-HEL. AY initially declined but I sent them a detailed explanation with precedents and they finally paid out.
