I guess that’s possible, around when the CSR started offering 10x (now 5x) and Lyft Pink several years ago. I recall my Bay Area Uber/Lyft rides used to be pretty even before then. Now it’s more like 5:1 or greater.
Although that doesn’t explain why its different in other areas. Down in LA area for example, I find that Lyft is mostly cheaper than Uber.
