I think they’ll refurbish all the newer 333, while the older ones would be retired. The whole 333/339 fleet should feature flatbed J in like 5 years I reckon.
Personally I’m fine with recliner for flights below 3 hours. But CX keeps sending recliners to longer regional routes including Bali or Sapporo at certain occasions. So I guess having fully flat J across the wide body fleet is a huge benefit.
A330s delivered after 2010 will install new lie-flat business class seats but those delivered before 2008 will still keep recliner seats due to its age.
