I spent much of the past five weeks on the road, from Germany to Austria, St. Louis to New Orleans. I flew in all manners of Delta cabins from the front to the back and ate a whole lot of airplane and SkyClub food. Bottom line, Delta One feels like an absolute ton of food, main cabin feels like too little and premium select/domestic first feels pretty right on for amount of flight over time spent. Here are reports from a couple of flights where I remembered to take photos.

Booked: Main, comp upgrade to comfort+, bought up to Premium Select, op up at the gate to Delta One
This was the big trip of the summer. I was coordinating travel for six people from three destinations on four different reservations. One platinum + kid, one gold + kid, and two grandparents. I got the upgrade to 1C/1G about 10 minutes before boarding and was the good husband and gave it to my wife, plus my son who had already been moved to 1G with me. Options in Delta One were the short rib, red currry chicken or the mozzarella mezzaluna. Because the upgrade was at the gate, I didn't get a chance to look at the limited options. In premium select we had the curry chicken and the mezzaluna. I had the mezzaluna, my daughter picked at the curry chicken. Both were good, and a good amount of food. Pre-arrival breakfast was the choice of yogurt or the pastry duo, which was the same option I had on my way to Greece early in the summer in Delta One. I'm a big fan of the pastries. Service was good in premium select but those A332 cabins are really showing wear, especially in Delta One. My wife said there were no working outlets in her seat.
Mozzarella Mezzaluna (Premium Select)

Surprisingly filling and flavorful. Lots of cheese. Wouldn't mind the bread being de-bagged and warmed but c'est la vie.
Red Curry Chicken

Very mild. No spice whatsoever.

I had to get from MSP to MSY for a noon meeting. The only way to do that is to take the 5:20 a.m. to ATL and connect. I had to check a bag for an event I was hosting later in the week which meant a very early arrival at the airport. Choices were three cheese quiche, bacon breakfast burrito, maple waffles, coconut chia overnight oats and salmon. I chose the burrito which was good, though a bit bland. I would have preferred some hot sauce on the tray.
Breakfast burrito: scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, Monterey Jack cheese, pico de gallo

The croissant was warmed, the yogurt was good. Meal service was fast because MSP-ATL is so short, but the service was solid.
