And I said this in other threads, but very few people speak anything but espagnol in Chile. This includes front-end staff and PAF.

Two questions though:
  • Did you spontaneously show your IDP or did they ask for it?
  • Did you show both German and IDP or only the IDP?
I am asking because in other testimonies, I read that the car rental people took foreign driving licence alone without any question raised or even pushed away the IDP saying it was not necessary.
