Why bother closing out the Access account? Just withdraw anything over $5k, close the CPP account and then wait for them to transfer the account to E-Trade. If your annual fee isn't due soon this might get you another 5-6 months before you get shut down entirely. Or maybe longer.
My AF actually posts in 2 weeks so I’m wary that if my Amex gets shut down in say 6 months, I’m not sure I’ll get a pro-rated refund of the AF.
So I’m definitely trying to make a decision on how to proceed in the next week or so.
