6.5k avios for non functioning wifi in J on SAN-LHR route (Gold status, redemption flight). Announcement was made at boarding that wifi wasn't available so popped a complaint in when I got back and had a call from customer services with the offer. I guess a nice gesture (the call) but not really necessary and I can't help wonder that BA resources would be better used elsewhere than ringing round folk who had no wifi.
I said I'd follow up on this one as another data point for my wife, same flight etc but she has no status (well, BAC Blue) and her flight was a cash booking. A bit of backwards and forwards with BA and she's had 5k avios as compensation.
