QR Avios redemption on 157- stock
On CX SYD-HKG (CX is operating carrier)

Neither Tsuen Wan nor Manila will touch the FFP
But Qatar Chat was able to update the FFP to allow free seat selection back on cathaypacific.com

Weird - up to this point in time I have always made or called in my FFP changes with operating carrier, at least on Amadeus. Is this a Qatar 157- specific thing, or have I been doing it all wrong all this time?
