Hoping someone can help.
I made an award booking for LHR - SIN for two people using an AMEX 2-4-1. 120k Avios and £625 fees.
I later called to add a return, KUL - LHR. Off peak booking, so it was 110k additional Avios. The agent advised it was another £625 fees.
But the app is crystal clear that it is £187.01 which for 2 passengers = £374.02. I pointed that out to the agent who during a fairly lengthy back and forth told me repeatedly she was not over charging me, I was looking at the wrong thing and to call back and speak to another agent to deal with it.
More than once I asked to speak to a manager and she told me no, I needed to call back another time and in any case I was wrong.
I am flabbergasted. The payment request has already gone to BA’s payment team so it’s too late to stop it, but clearly I am going to have to phone to get them to fix it.
Am I missing something here?
