One of the other right-on-the-water accommodations is
Sooke Pointe resort which is rather spectacularly situated (visited it looking to buy but the maintenance fees are stupidly high). You have to self-cater for this one as it has absolutely no amenities (at least when we visited a few years ago) as it's quite a way to any dining facility on relatively narrow twisty and windy roads (just seems to take forever to get anywhere).
Sooke Harbour House's glory days were in the past when the Phillips who started or at least ran it for quite a while took pride in the restaurant (2nd best meal I've had in Canada) - I stayed and dined there 11 years ago and while the food was exquisite, the rooms were a bit run down. Unfortunately they didn't appear to be good business people and even got swindled out of the property. The subsequent owner was trying to turn it into condos and just sold it to someone who has a track record in the hospitality industry so hopefully the place will get the investment it needs.
The BW close by actually (still) has pretty good food (dined here courtesy or Renewal by Andersen). Almost next door, Wild Mountain is or at least was raved about.
On to Point No Point, the place appears to have recovered post COVID. The dine-in restaurant was good but closed for a while because of staffing (in)availability and the food suffered (food for guests had to be collected from the restaurant and was served in cardboard containers (at dine-in prices). We just haven;t been back in 3 years. Cabins are nice but a bit basic as far as using it for cooking goes. There is a pizzeria (Stoked) but it may be seasonably closed. Much further towards Sooke is Shirley Delicious that some rave about but not much other than "bakery" food and beverages. There are (or perhaps is as there is just one) place at Jordan River in the other direction (Cold Shoulder) but it has odd hours and is take-out only.

Port Renfrew has waterfront cottage at
Wild Renfrew which I became aware about when they pushed the place on group buy sites. Haven't seen it so can't comment. The nearby Port Renfrew pub has good food. Not much else out there but options seem to be increasing.
There are also other waterfront places between Sooke and Port Renfrew (look at the various online maps) but I haven't visited any.
This Pacific Marine Circle - so named by a local tourism authority - is becoming the poor man's Tofino.
