As the most recent stay report dates back to 2023, I would like to contribute and add a review based on my September 2025 stay.
What a great hotel this is indeed!
I was planning to book a 3 night stay and for some reason the Marriott website did not provide any availability for my selected dates, this although surrounding dates were available. Hence I contacted the hotel directly (reservations @ monastyhotel.com) and they provided me with the option to book the dates through them, Great service! This also gave me the opportunity to ask additional questions, which were all met with a swift and satisfying answer.
On the night of arrival, I was welcomed by the staff of the hotel and they made me feel right at home. I was offered water or a sparkling wine as we went through the check in formalities. As breakfast was already included in my rate, I was offered either the 1000 points or a 10% discount on alcoholic beverages. On top of that the receptionist proactively explained that due to the lack of a Club Lounge offering, they would add 750 points for each night of my stay (which were indeed posted after check out).
As I originally booked a Classic room I was told that I received an upgrade to the Deluxe room (the exact same one as in post #10), Beforehand I also tried to use my SNA's but it was explained to me that these would not be honored due to the fact that the hotel was completely booked because of the International Trade Fair taking place at that time. Which is makes sense concerning the circumstances.
After going through all these formalities, the receptionist offered me a tour of the hotel and the room and explained all the amenities in detail. All in all an experience one would expect at the St.Regis, thus a huge shout out to them! In the room I also found a small welcome amenity which included local sweets and a local vegetable crisps, which is a nice touch.
During my stay I did enjoy both the breakfast and the rooftop pool.
The Breakfast starts at 7am and is served on the ground floor at the Samite Gastro Bar Area of the hotel. You can take a seat both inside or outside. The Breakfast normally costs you €25,- and includes a buffet with a hot and cold selection of food. These foods had either an International or Local focus. Next to the buffet option one can also order items from a small a la carte style menu, which is included in the Breakfast. This menu includes your Omelets, Pancakes or Eggs Benedict to name a few. Drinks wise, your coffee order taken at your table after which it is made by the Barista. Concerning juices, these are fresh as well.
The Swimming pool is located on the top floor, next to the Ennea Rooftop Pool Bar, here you can find a few sun loungers and umbrella’s. The pool area was open until 6pm and was never crowded during my stay, this although the hotel was fully booked. One can also easily order food or drinks near the pool as the staff of the bar takes orders and walks around frequently.
All in all I must say that this stay was more than perfect and I would certainly return when in Thessaloniki. A huge thank you to the Entire team of the hotel in making me feel welcome and for going the extra mile!
