Many thanks for your response, I've already submitted a detailed complaint to Aer Lingus, I'll try submitting a separate one to Aer Club when I get a moment,
As I said, it's not the lost Avios that irks as I have plenty, it's the manner in which I was passed from Billy to Jack with no apparent regard for the customer that is really annoying, although I know that the people in the call centres are working from a script! (well, also the delays in getting through to Aer Lingus is annoying, the least time I think I've ever waited is 20 minutes!)
