If you're not needing to use a companion voucher on this trip, I would look at getting a multi-carrier award, if you can find the necessary Business Class space. If you can handle short-haul Business Class, you can look for long-haul Business Class flights from some other European gateway (where they might be easier to find) and then just fly BA short-haul to/from the gateway.
