Let me add my 2 cents for the AF HKG to Asia route.
The plane with the new suites is excellent. The AF new seat strikes me as better than most new suites (with the exception of Qsuite). I hate the narrow APEC. It clearly beats CX ARIA. As jpdx noted, row 1 is fantastic.
Food is good (I find it better than CX). Service is very much staff-dependent. It has improved over the past decade. But you still find some FAs who enjoy chatting rather than serving.
I find the QF lounge in HK outstanding when there are QF flights. It is huge, airy and all kinds of a la carte and trolley food. Unfortunately QF provide minimal service when it is catering to other airline besides QF flights departure time. The last QF flight departs at 8pm (or it used too) while AF185 departs at 22:20.. By 19:30 QF lounge returns to minimal buffet service.
