Right now, you can match to Explorist and make Globalist in only 20 nights. That will soften the cost difference though IC's are also expensive. If you stay at a bunch of HI's and HIX's now you'll appreciate the HR's and HP's. Better breakfast and similar costs.
The footprint may be smaller, but it's getting better.
