Air France has one of the best business classes in the world. The level of catering is high, the wines and champagnes are among the best and the service is formal but correct. Their hard product has been upgraded, especially in their retrofitted B77W's and recent A350's, the suite is really fantastic.
KLM is also great, but not quite at the same level as AF, however the gap gets smaller each year. The catering is less extensive than AF but still of good quality and also the wines and champagnes are OK, but nothing spectacular. KLM shines with an up to date fleet (apart from a handful of A330's) and informal yet correct service. It's is simply warm and cozy onboard a KLM flight. The crew is smiling and chatty, a more lose approach compared to AF. Personally I love this approach, it really feels like home.
