The flight arrives into JFK at 4:50 PM. I'm making assumptions with all the caveats. I doubt there is a 17 hour layover that arrives at 5p and leaves at noon the following day and displays as a multicity trip that counts as a connection. I also just priced out some flights and with a sample of 3, spending the overnight dramatically raises fares and prices out as a multicity.
