Thanks sea_jeff, I'd heard similar things. People say just limit the ISO bracket that the camera can choose from, select A, and it usually comes out at least editable, if not great straight out of the camera.
One of the nice things about shooting Fuji imo is the great straight out of camera looks. For even more fun if you’re ok with jpegs - shoot in “Film Simulation Bracket” mode.
It’ll deliver three images preprocessed in the film simulation styles that you program in the menu. Pretty cool.
With all that said I’d still recommend shooting in Manual mode for a while just to see what happens when you change different aspects of the exposure triangle. You’ll pick it up quickly.
That’s the beauty of an EVF. WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get. Love seeing the final output real time in the viewfinder.
