Yeah, a friend visited this lounge yesterday in the early afternoon hours and described the exact same situation. Of course I guess he did contribute a bit to this crowdness himself, by getting his (silver) "+1" admitted via his gold card...
So I guess us 4 all gaining access last month was thanks to neither the quiet morning (in 2025 this lounge has been unusually empty between 8am and 9am) nor (solely) the fact that we actually had 1 gold tier and 3 business class tickets between the 4 of us (I mean if they're now quietly letting economy golds and their +1s enter during peak hours, then it's not like we got treated in an unfair/special way ).
I still find it a bit strange, that it's so full in mid-September, when quite a few of Aegean's planes take off with still a few seats unoccupied... Or perhaps now it's more of a "business travel" time instead of a "tourists travel" time :P.
