I'd say try something new, since you've been to Cebu before, anyway. However, I'm quite amused at how a lot of people think that the Philippines is tres unsafe. Well it isn't as bad as people think. Besides, any conflict happens FAR from Cebu. Nothing happens there. Its very idyllic.
