You can email EVA. They will be happy to match you if you can provide them your past year flight statement (not just the status) and your planned travel with EVA (at least some confirmed tickets). EVA will match you to a tier (if not two) lower base on how they evaluate your flight pattern. It will be case by case and there isn't a published rule or evaluation.
Thank you for responding! I just read more about other experiences matching into EVA from CI, and to be honest I have been doing almost exclusively award travel for long haul NA to Taipei using EVA and I am coasting on CI continuously extending my Paragon status through just a small amount of intra-Asia flights. Could really use the extra bag allowance for EVA silver/gold/diamond but since they need to see a statement I probably wouldn't be matched into anything. I appreciate learning more about the process though so thank you.
