Stayed here for three nights earlier this week.
Check-in was a strange affair. No information, nothing. I had to specifically ask for amenity - i.e. breakfast vouchers. I was given one. The guy also checked me in twice - and had to charge deposit twice as well (not a problem for me, since it will be refunded anyway), but still annoying. He had no clue or interest in what he was doing.
Was upgraded two days prior to arrival, to a studio corner room with Fountain Square view. The room was spacious and very comfortable, albeit very outdated. Nice views.
Service was bad. I requested housekeeping every day in the app. During my stay I received housekeeping 0,5 times. I.E. on my last day they did the bathroom, but not the bedroom, haha. News towels, toilet paper and emptied trash bin. But the bedroom was not done at all, bed was not made, trash not emptied, no coffee refill, nothing....very strange! Chat was useless, some agents replied in a timely manner, whilst others took several hours. Staff seemed to be more into talking to friends and family over the phone than serving guests....
No lounge, no pool. There is a gym on the top floor. Bar on the lobby level was great. Bartender was attentive and nice. That's the only focal service point at this hotel, imo.
Breakfast is "served" in the dull 1980s ground level cafe. Your voucher is good for warm/cold food and hot/cold beverages. I think it is outsourced, but tasty food and coffee. On the next day I had to go down to the reception to pick up more vouchers (I thought the one I got upon check-in was valid for the duration of my stay), and the same guy that checked me in the day before just gave me a bunch of vouchers, haha.
Can't beat the location. Too bad the service is lousy. Feels more like a limited service hotel like Courtyard or Four Points.
BTW - I paid only 121 dollar per night, plus taxes through BRG.
