But if you try to link a Chinese bank account to Alipay or Weixin you are almost certainly going to have problems unless the name on the bank account is spelled and ordered precisely as on your Alipay/Weixin account.
WeChat is extremely stubborn in this regard. Alipay is fairly chill, especially by comparison.
That having been said, if I had to choose between one of the two, it would be WeChat, and I'd get a least one bank account working with it.
