Just giving this a little bump to ask if anybody knows if CX is getting a special livery soon. For context, B-LRF (A359) was sent to XMN a few days ago. This would usually appear to be a normal occurrence, as CX has been sending A359s to XMN for the past few months as part of their maintenance program, and each A350 spends around 40 days in XMN during this maintenance process. CX also does their A359 maintenance in HKG, so they usually have 1 A350 in each of XMN and HKG at one time undergoing maintenance. The reason I ask about LRF is because it spent almost 40 days grounded in HKG starting at the end of June. If LRF did undergo deep maintenance at HKG, there are only a few explanations I can think of for why it has now been flown to XMN;
- The aircraft is being repainted/is getting a special livery (CX generally does special liveries in XMN and not in HKG)
- There is a maintenance issue that could only be fixed in XMN
- LRF didn't undergo maintenance in HKG, and was grounded for another reason
Does anybody know what's going on here, or if CX has any plans to introduce any special liveries in the near future?
