Have you been before and if so, is this airport better? How much time should we give ourselves? What were lines/wait times like when arriving and/or departing for check-in, security etc., I have read different reviews with some being good and some being horrible. We will be flying Air Canada in Business Class so not sure what lounge access we will get?
I was there in April. First time, so don't know what the Airport was like before, but I thought the Airport was excellent. Very modern with lots of good options. I personally opted for the TGI's and had a couple of the large frozen margaritas before my flight (they hit the spot).
Didn't have any issues with security cues or boarding (I couldn't tell you about check-in desks etc as I always just take hand luggage and check in online for my mobile).
I loved Lima (well Barranco to be exact). The view from the Old Town looking down the cliffs onto the Ocean was superb. One of the best places I've been.
My only two bits of advice for anyone travelling to Lima is 1- stay in Barranco and 2- even though the Uber prices from the Airport to Barranco are reasonable price-wise, the traffic is horrendous. Takes around an hour each way and it doesn't seem to matter what time of day that is so leave for the Airport with plenty time in mind on the day of travel.
I plan on going back in May/June.
