Repeatedly, when searching for prices for a stay at the Shangri-La Istanbul, both the official website and the Shangri-La app show rates significantly higher than Booking.com. Yesterday, I checked for June 5–8, 2026, and while Booking.com offered a Deluxe King room with Bosphorus view at €960 total for 3 nights and the official site listed the exact same room with the same payment and cancellation terms for €2,100. The price difference is enormous. I emailed their customers services, and the response was laughable. They claimed that their rate includes the option to cancel until 6:00 PM the day before, while Booking.com allows cancellations until midnight the night before. In other words, they justify a 50% price difference based on just a few hours of additional cancellation time. This justification alone is shameful. Even the prepaid rate with no cancellation option was €1,770 in the Shangri La app— still a huge difference compared to Booking.com, which offers free cancellation until the day before. Something is seriously wrong with their entire booking process, and what’s worse is that they refuse to acknowledge how ridiculous they appear with their laughable excuses. Same situation like your.
