I stayed here recently having been recommended the property from someone who stayed one year ago. Having come from other hotels in Osaka, I was taken aback immediately when stepping out from the taxi - no one outside to help with bags, and indeed the mini roundabout near the door didn't look like a hotel at all. When inside the ground floor the person working there offered no assistance with bags again - not a real problem, just .. different. My few interactions with front desk were generally very nice, except the one time I asked "about the train". I was immediately met with "we don't book tickets" instead of "what would you like to know". The service just felt very different from expectations in Japan.
The lounge was not busy, yet forgettable. I didn't find anything edible.
In summary - yes, the views of the castle are nice. Should I want to visit the castle again, I will stay elsewhere and commute from another hotel.
