My MIL got booked through a TA BKK-KUL-HND-JFK with an overnight (13-hr) connection in HND. Will she need to collect luggage at HND? If it matters, it's all one PNR - can't tell if it's ANA or Malaysia Airlines, both use the same PNR, BKK-KUL is on Malaysia, other two legs ANA. She's elderly and traveling alone, so it would be really great if the luggage is checked through (I wouldn't have picked this itinerary for her, but she said it was $400 cheaper than any other option through the TA). I've seen mixed reports on this policy searching online.
