I don’t even care anymore.

I’ve flown exactly two WN sectors since the announcement. At the time I was just short of clinching AL for 2026 and had my sights on CP by the end of next month even with the summer off. I said back then I wouldn’t totally shun the airline, but when I can get Y-ups on the legacies for at or slightly more than what I was paying for a BS fare and sometimes getting a nonstop versus a connect, it’s really a no-brainer.

Southwest was at least a refuge from all the silliness of the other majors. Now, why have them slap me in the face when United, Alaska, or American can do the same, but I’m in F?

I have a bunch of flying scheduled for the fall and winter, we’ll see how it pans out, I suppose. What’s crazy is that there was an article recently published that crunched all the numbers of all the airlines for Q1 prior to the announcements and Southwest was really gettin’ the bag.
