WN's current seat pitch is among the best Y in the industry; I'm just under 6'3" and hover lately around 230 and I fit fine in any WN seat (and I can touch the rail of the seat in front of me while sitting all the way back). I need to look it up, but I get UA E+ via being Silver as a Marriott elite and the random times I've flown UA I don't recall a huge pitch difference.
All these "improvements" will do is ruin seats for most of the other passengers; I guess I can see the incentive being built-in, but again, the Elliott group is ruining what used to be a great airline.
I fully believe the folks here who speculate they'll be bought by a current legacy within 10 years, and it's a sad thought.
